Wiesbaden Greeters activities

Here you can find out about the latest activities of the Wiesbaden Greeters at irregular intervals.

March 27nd, 2026 – a red carpet for our guests

Heike and her sister had a great and “heartely”tour with our Greeter Ralf (behind the camera) in Wiesbaden – a red carpet for them included! Her feedback:

Hello dear Greeters Team,
My sister and I had a fantastic guided tour of Wiesbaden with Ralf on Friday. The tour was incredibly entertaining and engaging—you can immediately tell how much passion and knowledge he brings to it.
We gained fascinating and sometimes surprising insights into the city that we would never have discovered on our own. The personal atmosphere was especially nice—we felt right at home.
A real highlight was the little surprise with the cups he brought along, which we used to taste the thermal water—a great and original idea!
This really makes exploring Wiesbaden fun. Highly recommended!
And we’ll be recommending you to others
Best regards
Heike

March 21st, 2026 – double feature

On a mostly sunny spring Saturday – March 21st – we welcomed guests for two greets the same day. In the morning greeter Heinz-Christoph went through the fully blooming city with Lennart and his friend from southern Germany. Alongside they discussed their favorite music styles and the best sports bars in Town.
In the afternoon Betsy from Virginia/US met greeter Torsten for a stroll across points of interest as well as through neighborly city quarters. At the 64°C hot hot springs they waited for them to cool down to take a healthy sip of the healing thermal water 😉

“I thoroughly enjoyed my walking tour with Wiesbaden Greeters. It was a very personalized experience and the coffee break was perfectly timed. We meandered through the town and I learned a lot about the history of Wiesbaden and great food/coffee recommendations. I would gladly take the tour again and recommend it for family or friends who are visiting.”

March 2026 – Satisfied guests and an exchange with neighbouring Mainz Greeters

We were also able to welcome guests to Wiesbaden in winter, who clearly had a wonderful time: “Thank you so much for your very personal tour,” “… for the very interesting two hours,” “… took advantage of the wonderful service provided by Wiesbaden Greeters.”

We also met up with our neighbors from Mainz to exchange ideas against the backdrop of the Rhine at night. Now we’re waiting for spring and more lovely guests—together with Ophelia at the museum!

December 2025 – Successful first months of the Wiesbaden Greeters

After launching in September 2025, we were soon able to welcome our first guests. Naturally, they came from Germany, even from Wiesbaden itself, but also from Armenia, Iceland, Pakistan and Ukraine.

“… thanks again for the interesting tour…”,
“… time flew by…”,
“… with wonderful discoveries and stories…”

Taylor Swifts “Ophelia” in the Museum Wiesbaden

In the music video for the song “Fate of Ophelia”, Taylor Swift uses the picturesque painting by German artist Theodor Heyser, whose Ophelia can be seen in the Museum Wiesbaden. In addition to visiting the museum, it is worth meeting up with the Wiesbaden Greeters.
