Kurhaus Wiesbaden

Enjoy our city

We will explore sights and insider tips with you in the ‘Nice of the North’: You can discover the magnificent Kurhaus, the hot bubbling mineral springs, the golden domes of the Russian Orthodox chapel, Biebrich Palace with its park on the Rhine, the splendour of historicist façades, a world-class museum, alternative cultural centers and a creative art scene. Be excited to see what Wiesbaden has to offer!

The city’s location between vineyards and forests, the Rheingau wine-growing region and the Taunus low mountain range allows for further beautiful excursions. Enjoy yourself in a rustic wine tavern or a cool wine bar, or take in the views in the award-winning city forest – ‘Germany’s Forest Area of the Year 2025’ – above the city, which we can reach with the unique water-powered funicular railway. Come and visit Wiesbaden as our guest – we look forward to welcoming you soon!

About the Greeter concept

The concept of a ‘welcome visitor program’ was first implemented in 1992 by American Lynn Brooks and her Big Apple Greeters in New York City, the first greeter programme of its kind. Now, all over the world, including in Wiesbaden since 2025, curious visitors to the city are brought together with enthusiastic residents. We Greeters are not trained city guides, but we love our city or our neighbourhood and want to give other people a personal insight into it. We accompany you through the city without payment and without a tip.

There are many Greeter destinations in Germany which await your visit with pleasure.
